Weekly update for Sept 27 to Oct 1

Just a quick update to everyone on what's happening this week and what we've planned so far.

1) Department of Biological Sciences Open House this Wednesday (Sept 29) and Thursday (Sept 30) from 10am to 3pm in the foyer of BioSci / CCIS.

2) Undergraduate Research Day on Thursday (Sept 30) at 5 pm in the foyer of BioSci / CCIS. The MBSA execs will be on site recruiting. Come visit and chat with us!

3) Thursday (Sept 30) Patrick Boutet is heading a GENET 301 study group in the Cameron library study hall B-05B from 2pm to 4pm.

We will announce a Meet the Prof Night soon!

MBSA Member Registration

On September 24th, the MBSA will be set up in the Bio-Sci/CCIS foyer for students interested in becoming members. We invite you to stop by and see what the group has planned for the 2010/11 school year.

Biological Sciences Locker Sales

Tired of carrying around your lab coat and those heavy textbooks? Lighten your load and store your stuff in a Bio-Sci locker!
September 20th - 24th, the lockers in Biological Sciences will be on sale for $10/year. We will be selling them in the Bio-Sci/CCIS foyer from 9am to 3pm, so drop by and get a locker before they're all gone.

New Executive Committee!

Hello new and returning students! The new executives for the MBSA have arrived. Introducing our President, Matthew Dutoff; VP Academic, Patrick Boutet; VP Events, Matt McDermand; VP Finance, Jessica To; VP Administration, Fareena Contractor.

We have some new and exciting activities planned this year for all of our members and those looking to join.
Coming this September: Genetics Movie Night, Study Groups, Science Students Mentoring.
October and on: Meet the Prof Night, Dodge-ball Intermurals, Lab Tours, Course info Nights and more!

We're looking for new members to help out with events and activities, membership is only 5 dollars, which gets you a wealth of benefits and first hand advice from a network of experienced students.
